Lewis River (III) from Deer Valley to Palmer Lodge
A flow dependant run. The highway is right beside the river in lots of places, so you can drive up as high as water levels and time allow. However, there are a few more user friendly put in/take outs at Deer Valley and the Gravel Store.

Low volume class III with a fair few logs.

The logical end to this section is at the swingbridge by Palmer Lodge (Nina Valley Track). Below the swingbridge the gradient eases to class II and the river can be floated down a number of other great lower sections.

Boyle River (II+) from Boyle Village to Windy Point

Lower Hope – Middle Waiau (I/II) from Hope bridge to Handyside stream
